I brought in my father's Seiko 5 that had been sitting in a drawer for nearly fifteen years. Pendulo assessed it within a few days and sent me a written note describing exactly what they found before asking me to proceed. The movement now runs within two seconds a day. That said, the thing that stayed with me was how carefully they described the dial condition — they asked whether I wanted a minor repair addressed or left as it was. I chose to leave it. They understood completely.

The Case Renewal service on my Longines took about two weeks, which was a little longer than I expected — though they did contact me in advance to say they were waiting on a gasket. The finished result was worth the wait. The case looks tidied without looking artificial, which was exactly what I had asked for. Communication throughout was clear and they answered my questions without making me feel I was bothering them.

I sent my grandfather's Omega Seamaster for the Heirloom Restoration. It had not run since the early 1990s and the crown was seized. The evaluation alone took a week, which at first I found slow — but when the written report arrived, I understood why. They had documented every finding and given me three options with different scopes and costs. The photos they sent at each stage of the work were a detail I did not expect and will keep.

A Balance & Timing service for my Tudor. Quick, thorough, and the results are evident — the watch had been gaining about four minutes a day and now runs within a second. What I appreciated was the written note they gave at return. It described the amplitude before and after regulation, which I had never seen from a repair service before. I will be returning when the case needs attention.

I had a slightly mixed experience — the watch took a little longer than the initial estimate, though I was contacted about this rather than left to wonder. The work itself was done well: the crystal is perfect, the case looks correct, and the resistance check gave me confidence to wear it again near water. Not a complaint about the work, just something to be aware of if timing is a factor.

My mother's IWC had been part of our family since the 1960s and had not worked properly in over a decade. Pendulo handled it with a seriousness that matched the significance we attach to it. Every stage was photographed and explained. When they found the mainspring needed replacing, they sourced a period-appropriate component and discussed it with me before ordering. The watch now keeps time and the photos of its disassembly are something I plan to keep with it permanently.
IN MORE DETAIL
A few service stories
THE SITUATION
A 1974 Omega Constellation, non-running
An owner brought in his late uncle's Omega Constellation, which had stopped running over twenty years prior. The case had surface scratches and the crystal was replaced with an incorrect type at some point.
WHAT WAS DONE
Heirloom Restoration service
Full movement overhaul with ultrasonic cleaning and timing regulation. The incorrect crystal was identified and sourced correctly. The case was polished lightly on the owner's request, preserving most of the original satin finish. Staged photography provided throughout.
THE OUTCOME
Running at +3 sec/day
The watch was returned in seven weeks, running within three seconds per day across multiple positions. The owner has since worn it daily and describes it as the most meaningful thing on his wrist.
"I did not expect to feel this way about a service. They treated the watch as if they understood what it meant."
THE SITUATION
A daily-wear Seiko Presage, gaining badly
A client noticed their automatic Seiko gaining four to five minutes a day despite being well-kept. They were uncertain whether the movement needed a full service or only adjustment.
WHAT WAS DONE
Balance & Timing service
Assessment revealed the movement was overdue for service rather than simply out of regulation. Full movement cleaning, lubrication, and regulation followed. The gasket was in acceptable condition and was left in place after review.
THE OUTCOME
Returned in 9 days, +1 sec/day
The watch was collected within nine days, running at plus one second per day in dial-up position. The condition note included before-and-after timing figures from the machine.
"The note was detailed in a way I had not seen before. It explained the amplitude improvement too, which I found genuinely interesting."
THE SITUATION
A Longines Heritage, worn but tired-looking
The watch ran well and kept good time, but the crystal was deeply scratched and the case showed years of light daily wear. The owner wanted it to look presentable again without losing its accumulated character.
WHAT WAS DONE
Case Renewal Package
Crystal replaced with a period-appropriate sapphire. Case surfaces lightly brushed on the satin panels and polished on the bevels only, preserving the watch's overall aged character. Seals replaced and pressure-tested.
THE OUTCOME
Collected in 14 days, as intended
The owner described the result as exactly right — tidied without being over-restored. The crystal was the most visible improvement, though the overall presentation was noticeably refreshed.
"They polished exactly where I asked and left everything else alone. That is not as easy to find as it sounds."
